Continuing to Build and Promote a Culture of Safety Culture To All Its Employees
Saudi Readymix achieved a significant milestone in its safety records by reaching six million man-hours without a lost time injury (LTI), marking a 10-month period without an LTI. Saudi Readymix’s has stringent self-imposed safety strategies, systems and processes and aims at sustaining a Zero harm environment and ensure that “safety” is top of mind at all times.

Tasked with overseeing all Quality, Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) aspects at the Company, Salam Abduljabbar and his team are dedicated to implementing and promoting safety across all Saudi Readymix factories, work sites and offices. “We focus on identifying and controlling hazards, reducing exposure to health and safety risks, and supporting the general health and well-being of our team members to ensure that we reach and even surpass such a milestone,” says Abduljabbar. “It’s a Company objective and one we wouldn’t have achieved, had it not been for the hard work and effort of all of our employees. It is the care that they display for one another that ensures everyone gets home without harm each and every day.”
Saudi Readymix was one of the first companies in the industry to establish a dedicated Safety Department over 8 years ago, with Safety Officers distributed among its factories and offices to build awareness and promote a culture of safety. All the Company’s factory managers undergo a special safety training and OSHA certification before being appointed in their positions.
