Special concrete is a wide range of concrete products which are designed to suit specific properties or applications. Special concrete may include but not limited to the following types of concrete products:
Fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC)
It is concrete containing fibrous material which increases its structural integrity. It contains short, discrete fibers that are uniformly distributed and randomly oriented. Fibers are usually used in concrete to control cracking due to plastic shrinkage and to drying shrinkage. They also reduce the permeability of concrete and thus reduce bleeding of water. Several types of fiber can be used in concrete such as Polypropylene fibers, glass fiber, and steel fibers.
Slip-form Concrete.
Slip form is a method of construction in which concrete is poured into the top of a continuously moving formwork. As the concrete is poured, the formwork is raised vertically at a speed which allows the concrete to harden before it is free from the formwork at the bottom. Colored Concrete.

Long-Workability Retention Concrete.

Under-Water Concrete.
Underwater concrete is installed below the water line in applications such as port and harbor installations, bridge piers in rivers, water industry structures, metro systems and deep shafts in unstable ground. Conventional concrete can be disrupted by the movement of either the concrete through the water or water against the concrete, causing washout of cementitious materials and fine aggregate so under-water concrete is a unique product that requires great attention to the details related to the mix design, product properties, and concrete placing.
Non-Shrinkage Concrete.
Shrinkage occurs in all concrete and is relative to the amount of water loss in the hydration process and quality of cement and raw materials. Producing non-shrinkage concrete requires a careful selection of raw materials, extensive experience, and strict quality control procedure.
