Concrete Production Knowledge course offered to female staff
In-House Concrete Training Course Offered to Ladies’ Division
Saudi Readymix’s Concrete – Product Knowledge training course has recently been, and for the first time, made available to all Saudi Readymix’s female staff (Ladies’ Division). A total of six women from the Ladies’ Division took part in the course all of whom passed with scores well above the required minimum.
The Concrete Product Knowledge training course is offered semiannually at Saudi Readymix and is setup to provide non-technical staff with basic information on four main areas of ready-mixed concrete: Concrete Properties; Raw Materials; Concrete Production, Transport, and Handling; and Troubleshooting.
Mr. Khalid Baghdadi, Managing Director, said, “We, at Saudi Readymix, are committed to the training and continuous development of all our employees. The Concrete Product Knowledge course is a part of our initiative in ensuring that all our employees are fluent in the basic technology of concrete. The course was designed and initiated more than seven years ago with excellent results. Three years ago, we established the Ladies Division, which is growing steadily, and we are pleased that they have now been given the chance to learn more about concrete.”
Each of the four topics (main areas) was covered in a seven hour session and once all four sessions were complete the female participants were subjected to a written exam. All the participants from the Ladies’ Division passed.
“We were very excited to take this course,” said Ms. Shahnaz Zainal, Senior Marketing Assistant, one of the participants from Ladies’ Division. “I have been with the Company for over three years and thought I knew well enough about concrete, but this course gave us a broader view on concrete and an in-depth insight into concrete technology.”
